"Owning our own story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it... Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light." Brené Brown

Children and Teens

I have extensive experience of working with children and young people, in both primary and secondary education, as well as in the charitable sector, in a variety of settings overseas and in the UK. Most recently I have completed a placement with TIC+ (Teens in Crisis) in Gloucestershire. I am passionate about supporting children and young people as they navigate their way through the many pressures that face them today. I aim to provide a place where they feel comfortable enough to explore who they are and what has, and is happening to them. As with adults, counselling can be long term or short term and is regularly reviewed to make sure that I am providing the best possible care and support.

Parents/Carers

I am committed to supporting families to function well and understand the pressures and demands on family life.  I have trained to work alongside families and have delivered workshops for parents and carers, as well as supporting them as they have sought to develop new habits, strategies and ways of relating. I know first hand how hard this can be. I offer stand alone tailor made sessions that are solution focused to help you as a parent/carer reevaluate your way of relating. Together, we will discover your best hopes for parenting/caring so that you can begin to form new habits and healthier connections. This can be extended to a further one or two sessions should you so wish. Alternatively, it might feel more appropriate after the first session to receive ongoing counselling.

This cannot be offered to parents/carers of children and teens that I am already working with due to issues of confidentiality.
